Thanks to the guys at SoftExpert for providing the material for today's post. I've been getting their monthly email for a little while now - I don't remember signing up but I'm glad I did. Much as I'd lke to tell you more about what SoftExpert do, I have to say I'm not entirely sure. That monthly email announcing the latest news on sales successes and new product launches is, well, unreadable. Here's a quote from a company director talking about an event the company's running in Spain shortly:
“The event is a strategy for presenting clients and the market solution and service innovations that contribute to continuous improvements in the operational and strategic results of the organizations.”
Sorry? Let me clear my diary and get a ticket right now.
Clearly these words were never spoken by the chap unfortunate enough to have his name stuck at the end of the quote. In fact I hope they were never spoken by any human being. To be fair it's almost certainly a translation, but that's no defence. Someone thought those words in that order qualified as English.
If you're going to demonstrate to your clients how your great product ideas can help them meet their objectives, then just say so. Please.
